Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015 and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack Both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed the press secretary's deputy in John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. There was speculation that Psaki would be replacing Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 in 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained until the end of Obama's presidency.
